PROGRAM MISSION

The mission of the Gold Line Transit Alliance Citizen’s Academy is to provide corridor grass roots leaders with a fundamental working knowledge of how to engage in the process of regional transit and better communicate its benefits to their communities. Beyond knowledge and engagement, the Academy seeks to ignite a passion for public transit and fuel community interest in its benefits.

BACKGROUND

The Transit Alliance Gold Line Citizen’s Academy is a program funded by a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Sustainable Communities grant awarded to the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).
